All Glory Goes To Him

April 1, 2013

Update:

At my last post, I had begun the chemo meds and true to history...if there are "side effects" and "severe side effects" which ones do you think I'll most always have...you guessed...the severe ones...sigh...well, this medicine would prove to be no different...

I took my first dose around noon last Wednesday and by 9:30 that evening, my world began to crash into a night of horrible sickness...Thursday was set to be an extremely long day because we had not only dress rehearsal but had lots of work yet to complete with the preparation and decoration of the stage and sanctuary. Thursday ultimately end up being the longest day of the year for me! LOL...I can smile now because I'm on this side of it... Rehearsal was such a incredible challenge running between being so, so sick and directing my ensemble, dancers and band...thank God for a patient and intelligent group of people who carried on when I was out of the room, which was a lot! God never leaves His plans without total support and placing people who are fully equipped in all areas...He's children are the most talented in the world! I love my band, ensemble and my tech crew...I am so blessed and privileged to work with such talented professionals! Isn't God cool in the way He never leaves all the weight on one person but He's gifted us all to support each other equally, adequately...that's the complete body of Christ...

Thursday night would end up lasting FOREVER....by 3:19 a.m. I was praying for God to just kill me and put me out of my misery! LOL I didn't have the strength or ability to hold a conversation so I asked Kirk to get my phone and I texted my two prayer partners the situation and ended it with PLEASE PRAY! God will always hear you and He is the God who answers us when we call upon Him!! 3:19 a.m. would be the last time I was sick...I went to sleep and slept till about 8:00 a.m. When I got up my husband, my sister and I all had come to the same conclusion...I would NEVER take this medicine again! I was done.

I said, God doesn't need maintenance medicine...His work, His healing, His touch is complete. This was a medicine they had prescribed for me to take every week for life...NO! I am still dealing with some less severe issues from the medicine as it works itself completely out of my system...but Thank God...the worst is over!

Let’s Get To The Good Stuff!!
Easter, Resurrection Sunday...What a Day! God was so glorified; the Resurrection in Concert was TREMENDOUS! Many salvations and commitments to Christ were made at the altar all...Thank You Jesus!I also belive that we'll continue to hear about many reports of healing and other miracles over the upcoming weeks as a result of that concert. What a time we had! Again, the devil was defeated, just makes me laugh out loud! He tried to take me out, to hinder what God had planned, he tried to interrupt, distract, derail and eliminate God's plan....but God's Plan, God's Word, God's Vision, will always go forth...the enemy can't thwart the plan and will of our Mighty, Triumphant God!

He Rose, He Lives, He Heals, He Saves, He Rescues, He Redeems, and He’s Magnificent,
He's Tremendous, He's Altogether Wonderful, He Forgives, and He Lives in You and Me! Hallelujah we have something to celebrate, the life of our LIVING Savior!!

At the end of the day, it's not important what we went through, but how we went through it and Who was glorified in the process...

Set Your Sails Continue Praising your Savior in the darkest, dark, press through your pain...His light will shine bright and drive out the enemy...He'll put His Wind back in your sails!

"The Jesus cried out and said, "He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me. I have come as a light into the world that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness." John 12: 44-46
